Frequently asked questions
What is EC64?
EC64 is EdmoLift’s latest electrical control system, developed to make our lifting solutions safer, smarter, and more flexible. The system is based on standardized modules that can be easily combined to meet both simple and more advanced requirements.
Can I still troubleshoot without connecting to eLift Assist?
Yes, the feedback to the control unit remains the same as before. The difference is that all EC64 control units have a built-in buzzer, whereas with UC60, only our standard control units had this feature. Additionally, there is a light indicator directly on the EC64 electrical box that can be used for troubleshooting.
eLift Assist provides clearer fault indications, making troubleshooting easier.
Can I replace a faulty component myself?
Yes, existing components that were delivered with your lifting solution and have failed can be replaced directly with an equivalent component. Examples include safety frame switches, limit switches, or other accessories such as a signal tower. The same applies to solutions with a single control unit. However, if the solution has two or more control units, activation via eLift Assist may be required so the system recognises which control unit has been replaced.
If you are installing a new component that was not originally included in the solution, it must be activated via eLift Assist.
There are some exceptions, contact b2b@edmolift.se for more information.
Will my current spare parts for UC60 work with EC64?
Control units and safety frame switches for UC60 are not compatible with EC64. However, a large number of other accessories for UC60 are compatible with EC64. Contact b2b@edmolift.se for more information and specific questions regarding your solution.
