How to replace the foot pump on a lift trolley from EdmoLift

This 10 minutes video guide takes you through, step by step, how to replace the foot pump on a lift trolley from EdmoLift.

          Important!
Keep all screws and lock nuts removed in step 1-8. You will need them to install the new foot pump.

          Tools used in this guide

          • Allen key 5 mm
          • Allen key 8 mm
          • Wrench key 10 mm
          • Wrench key 19 mm
          • Plastic hammer with a rigid handle
          • Side cutter
          • Grease gun
          • Cable ties

Step 1-8 - how to remove the faulty foot pump and cylinder from the lift trolley

          Step 1

Use the foot pump to raise the platform to its upper position.

          Step 2

Remove the two safety lock screws and place them in the two holes on the other side of the scissor arm.

          Step 3

Push down the lowering device to lower the platform. The safety locks moved in step 2 will make sure the scissor does not lower beyond this point.

          Step 4

Remove the piston rod from its upper mount and make sure to press together the cylinder to avoid oil leakage.

          Step 5

Remove the cylinder from its lower mount and place it on the inside, between the scissors.

          Step 6

Remove the screw from the foot pump's mount. Let the screw rest in the hole while removing the screws in step 7.

          Step 7

Remove the two top screws from the front.

          Step 8

Remove the complete foot pump with cylinder from the trolley.

Step 9-23 - how to install the new foot pump and cylinder on the lift trolley

          Step 9

Remove the attached components from the new foot pump and place the new foot pump in position at the lift trolley. Attach the foot pump with screw M6S M6x16 and with locknut LM6M M6 to the lift trolley (do not tighten).

          Step 10

Put in the M6S M6x45 screws in the two top holes.

          Step 11

Place two locknut LM6M M6 on the screws and tighten them.

          Step 12

Tighten up the screw from step 9.

          Step 13

Slide down the rubber cover on the arm of the foot pump to protect the base frame from being damaged.

          Step 14

Attach the cylinder to its lower mount with the cotter spin SP 4x32.

          Step 15

Take out the oil filler cap from the included bag.

          Step 16

Remove the black temporary oil filler cap from the foot pump.

          Step 17

Replace the temporary oil filler cap with the oil filler cap you picked out of the bag in step 15.

          Step 18

Perform some pump cycles on the foot pump, and then do some more while pushing down the lowering device. This will remove any air from the system.

          Step 19

Make sure the piston rod is turned the right way and use the foot pump to extend the piston rod into the right position.

          Step 20

Put in the screw M6S M10x65 and lock the piston rod to its upper mount with the locknut LM6M M10. When the position rod is locked use strips to keep the cables neat.

          Step 21

          Grease the cylinder.

          Step 22

Pump up the platform a few times and move the two safety lock screws.

          Step 23

Lower and raise the platform by using the foot pump a couple of times and you are finished.
