Increased accessibility at the Stedelijk Museum!

The Stedelijk Museum is situated in one of Amsterdam’s most historic buildings. However, like many other buildings that have been around for a couple of centuries, the Stedelijk Museum lacked consistent wheelchair accessibility. People in wheelchairs had to overcome a 600mm height difference between two floors in order to go between two exhibition halls. This caused some issues, as people in wheelchairs had to be carried up onto the next floor by at least two other people, and increased the risk of injuries for everyone involved.

To solve this problem a special designed low profile scissor lift table of the model TCL 1000B was installed at the museum. The lift table was delivered in a black color to blend with the interior design and is equipped with a hand railing and gates along with an aluminum tear plate platform and ramp in order to allow for safe and quick lifts of people in wheelchairs.

With the new TCL 1000B in place, anyone can enjoy the Stedelijk Museum!
