Three days at Nor-Fishing in Trondheim confirmed something we see across many industries: technology creates value when it makes daily work safer, more reliable, and more efficient.
Together with Hybeko, one of our Norwegian distributors, we met people from across the fisheries and seafood industry and gained a better understanding of their working conditions.
Technology must work in demanding environments
The fisheries industry faces many of the same productivity and ergonomic challenges as other industrial sectors — however, the working environment and food handling place additional demands on equipment. Lifting aids often need to be made from stainless steel to meet requirements for hygiene, durability, and reliable operation in demanding conditions.
The theme of Nor-Fishing 2026 was “Beyond world-class technology”. It underlined that performance alone is not enough. Technology must also support safer workplaces, profitability, and more sustainable operations.
This reflects our approach: a lifting solution must fit the task, the working environment, and the people using it.
Material handling across the value chain
From vessels and docks to processing facilities and packaging lines, repeated lifting, unsuitable working heights, and awkward loads can affect both people and workflows.
The questions are often similar: How can loads be moved safely, and unnecessary manual handling be reduced?
At Nor-Fishing, simple and flexible lifting aids attracted considerable interest. In particular, our stainless-steel WP work positioners drew attention as a practical way to lift, move, and position loads in environments where hygiene and ease of use are important.
The interest reinforced the importance of starting with the working conditions rather than a particular product.
Local knowledge through Hybeko
Our participation at Nor-Fishing was made possible through our cooperation with the fantastic team at Hybeko.

From Trondheim to Stockholm and Herning
Many of the questions discussed at Nor-Fishing continue into packaging, logistics, and food production, where reliable equipment and efficient material flows are equally important.
We will continue these conversations at Empack Stockholm on 30 September – 1 October and at FoodTech in Herning on 27 – 29 October 2026.
