Starting today, 1 October 2024, EdmoLift will begin updating the colour and texture of the standard T-series models. Focusing on giving the product segment a more exclusive feel while reducing the environmental impact, one of the colours will be changed to a more distinctive shade, and both colours will be given a textured finish. Orders placed up until 1 October will not be affected by the change.

New standard colour and texture
The current orange colour, RAL 2010, will be replaced by a new and more prominent shade, RAL 2009. The blue colour, RAL 5002, will not be updated, but both colours will have a powder-coated texture, giving a more exclusive look. This change also highlights the difference between the premium segment (T-series) versus the cost-effective segment (C-series), which retains the glossy finish. Functionality and performance are unchanged in both segments. The new colour and texture are a way to further improve the product range without compromising on product performance.
A customer-driven change
Extensive testing and customer surveys have shown that the new texture colour improves appearance and contributes to a higher sense of quality. EdmoLift has had textured paint since 2012, and some customers already have it as standard, as it provides anti-slip protection for both materials and if a person is going to be on the platform. The decision to update the colour and texture is based partly on the tests and surveys but also on feedback from customers and partners.
Reduced environmental impact as a result
It is not only the sense of quality that changes with the introduction. An interesting feature of the update is the positive impact on the environment. Moving to a textured finish from the glossy reduces the need for paint quantity and repainting. There is also less paint spillage, leading to less environmental impact.
- In 2010, the powder coating facility was launched and the decision was made to use low-hardening paint powder as one of the first in Sweden. This shift was a positive aspect from a sustainability perspective as it required a lower curing temperature or shorter curing time. Now we are making further improvements where the colour coverage is better, which means less waste and a better use of resources, so the economy is also affected. This is a key part of our efforts to be a more sustainable and environmentally friendly manufacturer, says Jan Eriksson, Environment and Sustainability Manager.
This is happening now
The implementation is now starting, and by the end of the year, all standard products in the T-segment, which are manufactured in EdmoLift's factory in Härnösand, are expected to be included in the change. Customers who wish to customise their lifting solutions can continue to order EdmoLift products in any RAL colour.
This update marks a new chapter for EdmoLift. By increasing the quality of our products while reducing our environmental footprint, we are showing our commitment to both innovation and sustainability, Jan concludes.
